For reasons that I won't go into here, my world came to a shattering crash about two months after I moved to London from the quiet but affluent environs of "Royal" Windsor. My business got into trouble and the lawyers emptied the bank accounts and then screwed up the litigation defence. The shit had hit the fan, and I was the only poor sod that had no umbrella to ward off the supersonic turds. I WAS a work-o-holic. A fat load of use that was when it came to the crunch. I ended up with no business, no work, no money, no lover(s), no sex nooooo chance......and suddenly I could count my 'friends' on the first two fingers of my left hand. The acquaintances had all evaporated and disappeared like the early morning mist does when early sunlight warms the waking ground and chases away the dewdrops. Strangely, now, I'm a much poorer but maybe also a little wiser person. Poorer financially, but also richer too, 'cos I've learned who my real friends ARE, and in my changed circumstances I've discovered one or two new people who have shown me great friendship patience in the knowledge that I am poor, and cannot repay them except by way of thanks and a big hug........for now.......Nah!!! .........It's not the END of my world, but just the beginning of a NEW and BETTER world......enter stage right marching band turning into sunset, horns blowin, drums bangin and symbals clashing.......... |
I really enjoyed the sailing in the Bay of Mexico particularly the snorkelling and scuba diving, even though the water is crystal clear when swallowed it is VERY salty, and only a little is required to make you retch. We sailed on a vessel called the "Clione" and had a brilliant time, wicked !!! |

Key West FL The last time I was on holiday was in 1995 when I went to Key West and met a "gem" of a guy called Ricky who was THE most helpful courteous and charming person that I met there. He had a beautiful apartment in a condo facing the Bay of Mexico and drove a red cabriolet VW Golf convertible with white leather interior and bits. It was a bit camp but whatever, he was cute and I was on holiday. Ricky and I became buddies for the 21 days that I stayed. No ! We didn't get it on...... I realise NOW that perhaps I should've tried my hand, but then his opportunities were exactly as numerous as mine and he didn't try so I guess it was just not meant to be...... |

A quick "thank you" to homestead.com who have given my site a home "free of rent", after NBCi decided to stop offering this facility only a number of months AFTER having taken over Xoom.com. I have to admit that the online builder IS easy enough to use, but I would have preferred to use my original html pages and editor. Still mustn't look a gift horse in the mouth, and mustn't be ungrateful...... but the cynic in me wonders when this one will peter out??? Well yet another personal homepage! I decided, at last, to post some information about myself, for others to check out. Some of you I know, but many others are not known at all.......as yet! Maybe we have met purely by chance, either personally or possibly electronically, but in either case we are, each of us, busy people getting on with our lives, and may have taken a "raincheck" and a note of a URL to facilitate further contact. This page has been created, not out of personal vanity, but as a means of providing a brief CV or potted history because in our busy busy lives we all know that "time is precious" and "time is money" so save yourself some time and maybe some money and check out this profile, which is biased, naturally, but nonetheless honest! Assess the potential ! People often ask for a profile page or a website URL so that they may learn a little or maybe even a lot without a great deal of effort..... A bit like doing research, before going into a project meeting, and so appearing "on-the-ball" to the surprise of your competitors, and the delight of your boss. London Located in Battersea. London SW11, England since 1996, got used to living alone, working (not very much) alone and sleeping alone, re-assessing what this life is really all about. It would be great to meet people who don't want to have a loan, or a free ride (other than the jiggy-jiggy ride), who have a full and busy life, but like to vary their routine, with a little, or a lot, of bump & grind, with or without poppers and a beer or two. So Christmas was over, and guess who ate all the pies?....but with a little help from my friend...2001 (Unfortunately Shadow went to the big dog kennel in the sky in November 2005 after 15 years of faithful and loyal companionship). I miss his tail beating against the fridge door when he was waiting for his dinner as well as his head resting on my thigh when we were both on the sofa watching TV. |
Well, the legal shite has now all been evacuated.... and I'm just left having to deal with the paperwork. No longer faced with possible bankrupcy, no longer as financially affluent as I once was, but then who is nowadays? Still have legal arguments with the original (negligent) lawyers but don't have the money to take them to court. My new lawyer has advised that this legal battle would be like pushing a gallon of water uphill in a ricepaper bucket. So it's time to let go, walk away and start again. 'tis now possible for me to start again, safe in the knowledge that whatever I do manage to build is not going to be consumed by the black hole of bankrupcy. |
